Unusual Hero Characters

The original book only allows for a certain number of races and hero creations. Since the time it was put out, gamers such as ourselves have wanted to create heroes that are unusual or really unique. One way is to create an evil character that has changed his/her ways. The following will help you to create these characters that bring variety to gaming.

Spawn

Spawn
Spawn were first created by Khellendros, also known as the Storm Over Krynn. Since they are part dragon, they have a breath weapon they can use once daily. They also have wings that can support flight.

Advantages: Spawn can fly and use their breath weapon. The breath weapon only can be used once a day. Also, any dragon card played for them is automaticly trump.

Disadvantages: Spawn are not easy to look at and can be very frightening. Also, humans and other races will not accept them because of what they are known for.



Draconians
Draconians are the magicly corrupted dragon eggs, so dragon cards for them are automaticly trump. Each of the following is a distinct kind of Draconian.

Advantages: Aurak Draconians can use Pyromancy, Electromancy, and Divination. They also have the ability to try once a day to take control of another creature or perosn's mind. If successful, they can command that person's actions for one hour.

Disadvantages: Auraks have no wings therefore cannot fly or glide like their brethren.

Advantages: Sivaks have full wings and therefore can obtain winged flight. They also have the special ability of retaining the shape of any slain enemy.

Disadvantages: Because of their emense strength Sivaks make excellent warriors but they consequently are very stupid and can be easily tricked. Also, under no cirumstances could they possibly control any type of magic save enchanted items.

Advantanges: Bozak wings are not as stable as Sivaks so they are only able to glide and not attain actual flight. Bozaks are, however, extremely intelligent and therefore are good magic users. Bozak heroes have schools in Aeromancy, Pyromancy, and one of the heroes choice.

Disadvantages: The disadvantage of this type of character is that he/she is very weak in the warrior department.

Advantages: A Kapak's small wings allows him to glide fairly well, however, sustained flight is totally impossible. Also, a Kapak's bite is extremely poisonous. Kapak's were known as good scouts and woodsmen due to their high agility and dexterity scores.

Disadvantages: Kapak's are good at dexterous tasks and good as scouts but they are consequently not good for much else. All other areas they are either average or below.

Advantages: Baaz have the ability to glide on their wings. All around average warrior.

Disadvantages: Baaz are not known for any outstanding abilities.

Advantages: Gully Dwarves, because of their cowardly nature, when running away or groveling anything is considered trump. Also, when the Hero feels severely threatened or is backed into a corner, any card is considered trump for an attack.

Disadvantages: Gully Dwarves, beacuse of their appearance, have no trump for Presence actions. Also, they have no trump for attacking (Melee Combat Only), with the exception stated above.



Sea Elves

Advantages: Since Sea Elves have been trained with tridents and nets since very young, any time a character is using these as weapons everything is trump.

Disadvantages: Since the defeat of Chaos, Sea Elves have lost the ability to be out of the water for long periods of time. They can be out of the water for one day per Endurence point they have. If this falls to zero they are unconcious.
